A pleasant day trip spent with our cruisers in port to the natural reserve in the National Park of Abruzzo, a mere 70 km from Gaeta in the Roseta Valley.
After an energetic walk, we came to the suggestive 80mt. waterfall named in local dialect “Zompo di Schioppo” .
After the stroll back, we moved on for lunch to the tiny, but characteristic village of Civita D’Antino at alt. 900mt. A charming place full of history and suggestive panoramas, where we were welcomed for a delicious lunch at the Antica Osteria di Zahtmann. The Hosteria draws it’s name from the famous Danish painter Zahrtmann, who at the end of the 19th century moved from the Amali Coast with a group of danish artists to this tiny , attracted by the lighting and landscape.
